My Week

Psalm 54

Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might.
Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.
Strangers are attacking me; ruthless men seek my life - men without regard for God.
Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
Let evil recoil on those who slander me; in your faithfulness destroy them.
I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, O Lord, for it is good.
For He has delivered me from all my troubles; and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

After you read these verses, it tells you exactly what kind of week I have had this week. It has been a week full of backstabbing, betrayal, sabotage and vindictiveness - all towards me. It has been horrible. I have cried more this week than I have in a long time. I haven't slept, and I fear to get up in the mornings to go to work because I don't know what else will happen that day or how much more I can stand with the pain. I am physically and emotionally drained.

I don't know how people can be this way, especially when the reasons are childish and meaningless. In fact, I've never understood why people are like that. But they are. And satan is controlling them with all his might and luring these people into a sinful and ungodly nature.

But I am here to tell you that the Lord gives strength to the weary. He picks me up when I am feeling down. He shields me with His love. His hand of protection is over me. Satan does not hold anything over me. He may think he does, but he DOES NOT. I have had to tell myself this over and over again the last 3 days.

Alas - the Lord is my strength. He will deliver me from ALL my troubles and give me a peace that passes ALL understanding. He is faithful.
